Being a member of TOPS IN BLUE means becoming a goodwill ambassador of the United States Air Force and the United States of America. Every visit or stop brings the opportunity to represent the Air Force and America alike.

TOPS IN BLUE has a prestigious history of representing the United States by performing for dignitaries and heads of state throughout the world. One of the greatest opportunities came in 1993 when the State Department asked TOPS IN BLUE to perform in the Eastern Block countries. At that time, these countries had just crawled out from under the Iron Curtain; the people were cautious and skeptical. Before TOPS IN BLUE, they had only seen communist-run shows or programs. But when the lights came on and the first note of music was played, they knew it would be one of their first tastes of freedom.
